What is an AFC

I am an Accredited Financial Counselors (AFC®) candidate - Every AFC goes through a rigorous educational certification program that demonstrates their commitment to doing what is best for the consumers they serve.

What an AFC Does

Financial Coach professionals are not salespeople. We do not sell products or provide investment advice. Rather, we are counselors, coaches, and educators who provide strategies to help individuals and families manage their money. We guide clients through earning, spending, saving, and investing, with the end goal of obtaining lifelong financial well-being.

Who is AFCPE

The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education® AFCPE®️ is a national nonprofit organization and the nationally recognized leader in financial counseling, coaching and education. Bringing together research, education and practice, we support the profession through comprehensive training, professional development and high-quality resources to help improve the economic well-being of individuals and families worldwide.

Code of Ethics

The AFC Code of Ethics is a set of ethical standards that financial professionals who earn the AFC certification pledge to uphold. These ethical standards require that AFCs maintain high standards of professional competency, act with integrity and only accept compensation that is fair and reasonable. The core values of unity, professionalism and leading by positive example should be reflected by all those acting for, or on behalf of, the AFC in all that we do.
